[Proper story's supposed to have an ending. It's so simple with this one. Kid's found a friend in this strange, dead-eyed girl half his age...almost startin' to feel like some kind of little sister to him.

So it came naturally when he took a fatal blow. Kid's been through a lot of grave injuries...but this one takes the cake. His body and the ground around him are colored a good shade of red, and he looks like he's about ready to fall to pieces.

Still, he stands tall and doesn't stop standing. Without turning to face Kaoru, he speaks, holding back a cough.]
