shhh one more meme and then chill

It's taken a fair amount of time, but it's finally happened. Your character's evolved into everything you've wanted them to be, the CR you've wanted them to make has been made, and they've become a better (or worse) person for it. But now? The madness is over. The Dark Hour has been eradicated; every last Shadow has been wiped out. Even now, though, it appears as though you've got a difficult choice to make. There's the option to stay in Prospero or to return home, no strings attached.
This is going to be a difficult decision for your characters to make. Will they take advantage of this golden opportunity and return home? Or will they stay behind, working together to make this town a better place to live despite the fact that they may never see their homes again?
-Post here with your characters
-In the subject line, write whether they are leaving or whether they are staying (or leave it open, should you decide to play out both possibilities)
-Optional - Write a little blurb about who your character has become, or about how your character is feeling about this general situation!
-Everyone tag each other!
-Cry thousands of tears.

Lancer | Fate/Zero | Undecided
[What was the purpose of a knight if not to fight and protect others? Living normally was foreign enough, living normally in an age where he didn't belong was quite another. Even more so if those he grew close to here decided to leave as well. What would be the point of staying?]
[On the other hand, leaving was a death sentence. Which was fine, it was not death that concerned him in the slightest. Diarmuid's problem was far more complicated than that, when it came to the idea of leaving.]
[Servants who died and thus returned to the Throne of Heroes forgot all the events of their previous summoning. He would lose everything. All of the Fourth Holy Grail War, all of Prospero and everything that had transpired...gone. As if it had never happened. Then he would return to being a Servant, and how many more times would he repeat the same disappointment? How many more Masters were like Kayneth, how many women like Sola? It would end in misery an untold number of times, and he wouldn't remember enough to know he could've had better.]
[Either live out a human life as Diarmuid, left only with the memories of those he loved... or return to existence as Lancer, serving a knight's purpose but with all the pain of repeated betrayals.]

did someone say angst? Going home
After all, he'd miss them.
Though, that doesn't seem to be enough to say goodbye to all of them. He wasn't one to say goodbye to anything, since he had a feeling that fate would bring them back. So catch him before he leaves, since he... doesn't really have the guts to say Goodbye right now.]

Devola | NieR | Leaving
[It was a conflict that had plagued her conscience before she ever realized she had such a thing. When it was still just an unreasonable, unknown hesitation.]
[Prospero was a blessing, in that regard. It shed new light on quite a few things -- particularly ones about herself, most of which Devola probably wouldn't have figured out on her own without a dramatic upheaval of events. Prospero was ultimately, despite the horrors of the Dark Hour, a pleasant place. And it was filled with interesting and (mostly) pleasant people she was glad she'd met.]
[In the end, despite any wish to the contrary, she had to go home and see things through to the end. There was too much at stake, too much time already spent, and she was afraid she'd already abandoned her sister to wrap things up on her own -- or worse.]
[She couldn't just stop. There was no stopping. Not ever.]

Allen Walker | D.Gray-Man | Leaving
Yes, life in Prospero is fun. He can spend time without having to worry about the war, about the fighting and Neah's memories in his body. But duty, his comrades and love for humans and Akuma is stronger.
If it mean going on the run, facing Neah's slow advances in his body, then so be it.]

Saber ✷ Fate/stay night ✷ "Home"
For every thing that could bring light into her heart, there was something there to remind her it was all a temporary facade. Kiritsugu was the primary reminder - she shouldn't be here with his son even if he chose her. What kind of person was she to tear son and father apart? Especially when that son wanted to follow in the footsteps of the father.. in the end, wouldn't they be incompatible?
Furthermore, it was selfish to keep holding onto a boy who had an entire life ahead of him. She was twice his age ( Not to mention hundreds and hundreds of years old from just waiting ), so it was only natural to protect him. Plus, there remains her agreement with a certain entity to devote her life to them as a Counter Guardian. Without the Holy Grail in her hands, Saber would return to that scene of battle.
It was time to die.
Plus, a king is meant to lead to her people even if it was to lead them back to their deaths. Surely Gawain and Lancelot would understand this much. ]
Hakuno Kishinami | Fate/EXTRA | Undecided
We've finally made this world at peace, and there's nothing for me to do but live a normal life here. That's something I could never do if I return to the Moon Cell. After all, I'm nothing but a clump of data over there. That world is in stagnation, while this one has a sure future. But... Rin's waiting for me. Then again, I have friends here too, and I can be with Saber for as long as I can.
I... just don't know what to do. Do I abandon my goals in order to be an actual person here? Or do I walk into inevitable death and sacrifice myself to give a future to my 'home world'?
Ugh, my head hurts.]

Besides, it wasn't like he would be leaving everyone he ever knew behind. He'd just be going back to old friends he'd missed anyway. But still, he found himself taking one last walk through the city, maybe hoping to find some of his new friends for a proper goodbye.*
